Floor Play is a collective of 3 DJ’s and producers with a goal of bringing the Bay Area the very best in cutting edge artists and DJ’s to that “special” place. Floor Play is a celebration on the dance floor. It is important we send this message to those who still want to dance. SHOWNUFF is a new Friday Night Live Music series, FREE and open to the public, at 111 Minna featuring great live music, djs and other social aperitifs during happy hour from 5-9p.

Wicked Mercies are a soul band from San Francisco. The line-up features vocals that embody the classic sound of all great female –fronted soul acts through out time. The band is made up of players with roots in soul, R&B, funk and punk. The band takes a stripped down, un-pretentious approach to the music, grabbing a hold of the grooves and driving them into the sound. Wicked Mercies have received local and international airplay including critical acclaim from the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show BBC6 music London.

Wicked Mercies is a funky soul band. Listening to them gives me a goofy smile as I raise my hands in the air and sporadically scream, Oh Yeah, to the dismay of my neighbors.

Does life have you down? Are you depressed? Flick your Prozac down the drain and just put Wicked Mercies on continuous play. Shake it proud.

They are The Supremes for 2010. Addie, Nahid and Nancy front the group with their powerful energy and vocals. The band backs them with their soul and funk fusion. A perfect accompaniment.
