Come down to 111 Minna Gallery to DRINK LIKE A FISH for a good cause. The Asian Pacific American Ocean Harmony Alliance (APAOHA) present this mixer event to celebrate SHARKS, OCEAN PREDATORS EXTRAORDINAIRE. Demonized, vilified, sensationalized yet mysterious, sharks are magnificant creatures. They inspire awe, fear, admiration, and fascination. As the lions and tigers of the sea, they also maintain the balance of the ocean environment.

FOOD by RICE PAPER SCISSORS, a vietnamese pop up cafe

Inspired by the sidewalk dining and street food in Vietnam, Valerie Luu and Katie Kwan recreate the experience here in San Francisco, complete with little red stools, and a menu of Vietnamese comfort foods with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

LIVE ART PERFORMANCE by Rick Kitagawa of MONKEY + SEAL

Monkey + Seal was born to create an individual space for these two artists who are part of a growing generation of creatives who are not fine artists nor illustrators nor animators nor designers, but are an indistinguishable mix of all of the above. Monkey + Seal brings other artists with them on their quest towards changing the world, and resolved to become Artists Empowering Artists.

When the Grilled Cheese Guy Mike Davidson isn’t busy designing menus for FOODIE EVENTS, he is busy as a SHARK NATURALIST for the Incredible Adventure Shark Dives out in the Farallones Marine Sanctuary outside San Francisco. Come meet Mike, who promised to whip up a surprise treat!
