Opening Reception, Feb. 2ND | 5pm-Late | On display through Feb. 25th | Open to the Public | DJ Pre-K
Featuring: David Ball, Jesse Balmer & Katherine Brannock

David Ball
David is a collage/ mixed media artist located in San Francisco. His interests range from observed relationship dynamics and social commentary to more introverted personal works, all in surreal, other-worldly landscapes driven by character and narrative. David creates both fine art and illustration works with the help of his talkative cat, Cho Cho and lots and lots of coffee.

Katherine Brannock (below)
ART WORKS AS AN AGENT,
COMBINING OUR SENSES IN WAYS THAT BROADEN
THE MEANING AND SIGNIFICANCE OF OUR EXISTENCE.
I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE OPPORTUNITY
TO COMMUNICATE WITH ART
FOR THE ENJOYMENT OF OTHERS,
AS I ATTEMPT TO UNCOVER AND UNDERSTAND
THE DIALOGUE THAT DEFINES
OUR TIME AND PLACE IN HISTORY.
WORK WAS DESIGNED FOR THE FUNCTION OF ALL PEOPLE
IN THE WAY A GEAR WAS DESIGNED FOR THE FUNCTION OF AN ENGINE.
WE ARE INTENDED TO CONDUCT AND CONSTRUCT OURSELVES
IN A WAY THAT PROPELS US FORWARD,
WHEREVER THE DESTINATION IS NECESSARY.
MY WORK CONSTRUCTS COMMUNICATION
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING CONNECTIVITY.
REACHING TOWARD OTHERS ON A COMMON GROUND
IN ORDER TO IGNITE AN ATMOSPHERE OF EVOLUTION,
IS NECESSARY TO ME.

Jesse Balmer (below)
“I’m always trying to convey my general distaste toward civilized society’s planet-sized shit storm we get to look at and take part in every single day – and the inherent helpless feeling that comes with being one in 6.5 billion. I’m also interested in mortality, and whether or not I should think it sucks.”
